They’re artists, hackers, humanitarians, journalists, human rights activists, and more: They’re the 2014 Yale World Fellows, and the Yale community is invited to meet them during World Fellows Night 5–8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 18, at the Afro-American Cultural Center, 211 Park St.

In addition to an opportunity to talk with the 16 individuals taking part in the program this year, the evening will include music by DJ Spiffy, food, and more. All are welcome.

The Yale World Fellows Program brings accomplished mid-career global leaders from around the world to campus where they explore critical global issues and cross-disciplinary studies, sharpen leadership skills, and build relationships with other emerging leaders. The fellows are given access to Yale classes and resources, and have opportunities to meet members of the Yale community through a variety of events. Since its founding in 2002, the program has developed a network of nearly 250 World Fellows in 81 countries.
