The Yale School of Art’s annual Open Studios, showcasing the work of approximately 150 first- and second-year students, will take place Saturday and Sunday, April 18 and 19, noon–6 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

The studios and exhibition spaces represent the areas of focus at the School of Art, consistently ranked as one of nation’s top art schools. Graphic design will be shown in Holcombe T. Green Jr. Hall, 1156 Chapel St.; painting and printmaking at 353 Crown St. (accessible through Green Hall); and sculpture and photography in the Sculpture Building at 36 Edgewood Ave.

More than an exhibition, Open Studios is an opportunity for visitors to meet the artists, see and purchase their work, and learn about their creative process, note event organizers.

During exhibition hours there will be a free shuttle bus running between New Haven Train Station and the different venues. For information, visit the Open Studios website or call 203-432-2600.
