Yale Transportation Options received an award from CTrides for encouraging the highest number of staff members to pledge a “green commute” during “CTrides Week” in May.
The award was for “collaboration with CTrides, the Connecticut DOT’s green commuting program, in helping to alleviate traffic congestion and improve air quality in Connecticut.”
CTrides also recognized Yale with a “Way to Go GREEN” award in April to acknowledge the university’s “spirited efforts and shared goals” and “for offering a full array of commuter benefits, including real-time travel data, commuter counseling, Zipcar, and Bikeshare.”
Developed by the Connecticut Department of Transportation, CTrides helps commuters find the best way to get to work or school and offers information and resources for travel options throughout Connecticut. CTrides offers carpools, vanpools, bus, train, biking/walking, and teleworking solutions.
