'Slave Talk: Between Metaphor and Reality'

Nigerian author Wole Soyinka, the first African author to win the Nobel Prize in Literature, presented the 2014 Henry Louis Gates Jr. Lecture at Yale on April 9. He spoke on the theme “Slave Talk: Between Metaphor and Reality.” Soyinka is currently the Hutchins Fellow at Harvard University. His latest work, “Of Africa,” was published in the fall of 2013 by Yale University Press.
