As the world commemorates the centennial of the First World War, Yale offers a wealth of material in its collections that can help us understand its impact, from international relations to the personal accounts of soldiers on the front lines. Yale houses a range of material, including diaries, photographs, postcards, propaganda posters, paintings, poems, works on paper, and war medals in the collections of the Yale Center for British Art,  Cushing/Whitney Medical Library, Manuscripts & Archives at Sterling Memorial Library, Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library, and Yale University Art Gallery. The material is available through ORBIS, Yale's online catalogue (orbis.library.yale.edu), or through Yale's online digital collections (discover.odai.yale.edu).
