Founders Day 2016
The Yale community celebrated Founders Day on Oct. 5. A highlight of the day's festivities, which include tours and open houses, was the fall celebration on Cross Campus, with musical performances, food, and other entertainment. This year, because the annual celebration overlapped with “Celebrate Sustainability,” a weeklong series of sustainability-related events around Yale’s campus, the 2016 Founders Day theme was “Working Together for a Sustainable World.” President Peter Salovey made four drop-in visits to meet with Yale staff at the School of Medicine, the Beinecke Rare Book & Manuscript Library, 344 Winchester Ave., and the Yale Health Plan.
