Faculty appointments

Tamar Szabó Gendler, dean of the Faculty of Arts & Sciences, announced the following faculty appointments:

Verity Harte, the George A. Saden Professor of Philosophy and Classics, as chair of the Department of Philosophy;

Zhong Shao, professor of computer science, as chair of the Department of Computer Science;  and

Steven Wilkinson, the Nilekani Professor of India and South Asian Studies, as chair of the Department of Political Science.

All appointments will be for three years, effective July 1.
