Hugh Taylor receives International Fundacion IVI Award
Dr. Hugh S. Taylor, department chair and the Anita O’Keefe Young Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Services, has been awarded the International Fundacion IVI Award for best clinical research record in reproduction medicine.
Taylor was chosen from a pool of 45 candidates for this prestigious honor for having published the papers with the highest impact in this field over the past five years. He will officially receive this award on April 5 at the IVI Award dinner.
Taylor is a professor of molecular, cellular, and developmental biology. He is affiliated with the Yale Cancer Center, as well as various Ob/Gyn programs at Yale School of Medicine, including the Recurrent Pregnancy Loss Program, the Fertility Center, the In Vitro Fertilization Program, the Reproductive Physiology Group, the Center for Research in Reproductive Biology, and the Women’s Reproductive Health Research Career Development Center. Taylor is also chief of obstetrics and gynecology at Yale-New Haven Hospital.
Some of Taylor’s past honors include being recognized as a Mentor of the Year by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and as Honoree of the Year by the Endometriosis Foundation of America. He received the President’s Achievement Award from the Society for Gynecologic Investigation in 2008. He serves as editor-in-chief of the journal Reproductive Sciences and editor of Endocrinology.
