Summer of Service

The latest President’s Public Service Fellows joined Yale President Maurie McInnis for breakfast at her campus home Wednesday, part of an annual tradition.

Since 1994, more than 1,000 fellows have contributed over 400,000 hours to New Haven’s nonprofit and public sectors, working to promote economic growth, human development, and neighborhood revitalization while fostering a deep commitment to community service.

This year, nearly 40 fellows — all current Yale students — are working fulltime with Fair Haven Community Health Care Center, Connecticut Center for Arts and Technology, New Haven Works, the City of New Haven, Sanctuary Kitchen, and many other local organizations that help make life in New Haven better for all.
