Faculty of Arts and Sciences appoints deans of science, social science

Faculty of Arts and Sciences (FAS) Dean Tamar Gendler on Friday appointed Larry Gladney as FAS Dean of Science and Kenneth Scheve as FAS Dean of Social Science, pending formal approval by the Yale Corporation.

Gladney, a renowned physicist who works at the intersection of experimental particle physics and cosmology, is professor of physics and Phyllis A. Wallace Dean of Diversity and Faculty Development. During the fall 2022 term, he will hold dual roles as FAS Dean of Science and Dean of Diversity and Faculty Development. Read more about Gladney’s appointment.
