On Aug. 23, the 1,789 members of Yale College’s Class of 2025, the largest incoming class in Yale’s history, began moving into their residential colleges. As new students arrived on campus throughout the week, they were greeted by first-year counselors, residential college staff, President Peter Salovey, Yale College Dean Marvin Chun — even Handsome Dan.

This week they are being joined by the rest of the undergraduate community as the university prepares for a semester of in-person learning.
