A Focus on Higher Education in China and the United States at Yale Center Beijing Event

Yale Center Beijing hosted a hybrid in-person and video-conference event focused on ‘Higher Education in China and the United States’ on January 22, 2021. The discussion was simultaneously translated in English and Chinese.

The event featured Pericles Lewis, Vice President for Global Strategy and Vice Provost for Academic Initiatives at Yale University, and Ning Zhang, the former Deputy Secretary-General of the China Scholarship Council, who shared their insights on the past, present and future of Chinese students studying abroad and at Yale.

The talk was part of the center’s Greenberg Distinguished Colloquium and was moderated by Yale Center Beijing executive director Carol Li Rafferty. Over 90 people joined the virtual event and more than 4,300 viewers have tuned in to watch the event on Yale Center Beijing’s social media accounts.
