Haskins Lab’s Philip Rubin named president-elect of science federation

Philip Rubin, chief executive officer emeritus and board member at Haskins Laboratories and adjunct professor in the Department of Surgery (otolaryngology) at the Yale University School of Medicine, will serve as president-elect of the Federation of Associations in Behavioral & Brain Sciences.

Rubin has held numerous important roles in the federal government, including at the National Science Foundation, the National Research Council, the White House, and across scientific societies and academic organizations. He is best known for his research and technological developments related to understanding the biological bases of speech and language and their disorders, and for his work in the areas of behavioral and social science, neuroscience, and research ethics.
