Child Study Center moves to new facility

To celebrate the opening of its new home at 350 George St., the Yale Child Study Center is inviting members of the university community to a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, Oct. 4.

Doors will open at 8 a.m., and light refreshments will be available. The program will begin at 8:20 a.m. Attendees are invited to tour the facility following the ceremony. Parking is available at 340 George St., in the parking garage; bring your ticket to the center for validation.

Since 1911, the center has been serving children and families from birth through adolescence. Its mission is to improve the lives of children and families through research, service, and training. Until now, clinical services were located in three different sites in New Haven. Its new facility will consolidate those services in a single location that is designed to provide welcoming, patient-centered spaces for children and families.

To reserve a place at the opening ceremony, visit the center’s website. For more information, contact Rosemary Serra at rosemary.serra@yale.edu or at 203-785-5759.
