Delivering on the promise of the Yale Africa Initiative

Since being announced in 2013, the Yale Africa Initiative has aimed to foster new directions of research, partnerships, and recruitment on the continent.

When President Peter Salovey announced the Yale Africa Initiative (YAI) during his inaugural address in 2013, he promised to foster new directions in research on Africa, identify new partnerships, and strengthen recruitment efforts — all while emphasizing teaching and learning.

Since those formative days, Yale University has made great strides in growing and effectively delivering on that promise. This video offers a brief update on how Yale leverages the power of partnerships and global networks across the continent to produce fruitful outcomes in science, public health, business, and numerous other disciplines and industry sectors.
