School of Music to honor the late Aldo Parisot with music, remembrances

The Yale School of Music will celebrate the life and career of cellist Aldo Parisot on Wednesday, April 17 with a special program of remembrances and performances by his friends, family, and colleagues.

The program will take place at 4 p.m. in Morse Recital Hall in Sprague Memorial Hall, corner of College and Wall streets. Admission is free, and seating is on a first-come basis. Additional seating and a livestream of the celebration will be available in an overflow space. Those unable to attend can watch the celebration online here.

Parisot served on the School of Music faculty for 60 years, making him the longest-serving Yale faculty member. He died on Dec. 29 at age 100.
