Vox writer to be the guest at Branford College tea
Vox Media staff writer David Roberts will be joining in a conversation with members of the Yale community on Monday, April 1 during a Branford College tea at 4 p.m. in the Branford College Common Room, 74 High St. His visit is sponsored by the Poynter Fellowship in Journalism at Yale.
Roberts writes mostly about climate change and energy. Prior to working at Vox, he was a writer for Grist.org where he focused on similar subjects. Recently, his work has addressed the topic of “conditional optimism” and breaking down the meaning of The Green New Deal.
Roberts has appeared on CNN and the Canadian Broadcasting Company. He has bylines in the Atlantic, The Chicago Tribune, and Reuters.
The Poynter Fellowship in Journalism was established by Nelson Poynter, who received his master’s degree in 1927 from Yale. The fellowship brings to campus distinguished reporters, editors and others who have made important contributions to the media. Among recent Poynter fellows are Hilary Rosen, Jose Antonio Vargas, and Ethan Kuperberg.
