Funeral mass for Professor Lamin Sanneh to be held Jan. 12

Sanneh, the D. Willis James Professor of Missions and World Christianity, died on Jan. 6. The mass will be at 11 a.m. in Marquand Chapel. All are welcome.

There will be a funeral mass on Saturday, Jan. 12 for Lamin Sanneh, the  D. Willis James Professor of Missions and World Christianity at Yale Divinity School, who died on Jan. 6.

The mass will take place at 11 a.m. in the Divinity School’s Marquand Chapel, 409 Prospect St. All are welcome.

Sanneh was the world’s leading expert on Christianity and Islam in Africa. Christianity Today has published a set of remembrances about the scholar. In this video, Sanneh discusses the contributions of religion to intercultural understanding and the build of strong civil societies.
