Animal welfare group conducting holiday pet food drive
Members of the university community have the opportunity to help animals in need during the annual holiday pet food drive organized by Connecticut’s non-profit animal welfare group, Help Willy’s Friends.
The organization supports animal rescue groups and shelters and helps animals in need. Donations of the following will be accepted: dog and cat food (dry or canned), treats, blankets, towels, toys, or checks or gift cards to Petco, Petsmart, or Agway.
Collection boxes are located in Sterling Hall of Medicine I-141 and other areas throughout the School of Medicine, including the Medical Library. If you would like your donation picked up and/or if you would like to host a collection box, contact firstname.lastname@example.org. The drive will continue through Friday, Dec. 21.
