Members of the Yale community and beyond are invited to attend the Founders Day 2018 celebration on Tuesday, Oct. 9 — 317 years to the day that “an act for Liberty to erect a Collegiate School” was approved by the New Haven Colony. That school eventually became Yale University.

The 2018 event will include:

  • a celebration on Cross Campus from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • drop-in visits by President Peter Salovey across campus
  • open houses and tours

Admission is free. Details about the day’s programs will be posted on the Founders Day 2018 website beginning the week of Sept. 24.
