Patrick Kirkham Sullivan awarded James Andrew Haas Memorial Prize

Patrick Sullivan graduates with distinction in his major, American Studies. A Communication and Consent Educator, a FOOT leader, and a Dwight Hall Urban Fellow, he has devoted himself, through critical inquiry and communication, to promoting an equitable society. He has served with the Yale Undergraduate Prison Project for four years, tutoring and mentoring incarcerated people, and he co-founded the Connecticut Bail Fund to address injustice in the criminal system, the first of its kind in Connecticut and one of the few models of bail relief in the nation. After graduation, Patrick will continue this work, expanding the program around the country. For his outstanding academic achievements and his impressive record of public service and commitment to prison reform, Yale College is proud to bestow the James Andrew Haas Memorial Prize upon Patrick Kirkam Sullivan.
