Marta Moret M.P.H. ’84 has joined the board of the Women’s Campaign School (WCS) at Yale.

Moret is president of Urban Policy Strategies (UPS), a New Haven-based consulting firm that conducts research and assessment in public health. UPS evaluates the impact of community-based interventions in areas such as HIV/AIDS, childhood obesity, substance abuse, and cardiovascular diseases.

We are thrilled and grateful that Marta Moret has joined our Board,” said Patricia Russo, executive director of WCS at Yale. “Her passion to help women interested in running for office or in campaign management makes her a tremendous addition to our leadership team. We welcome her ideas and commitment to furthering the School's goal of achieving political parity in our country.”

Since 1994, the Women’s Campaign School at Yale has made its singular mission to “increase the number and influence of women in elected and appointed office in the United States and around the globe” by providing exemplary political campaign training for women interested in running for all levels of public office, as well as for those interested in campaign management.

As a result of the surge in the number of women interested in running for office throughout the country this past year, WCSYale created a new level of training in 2017, WCSYale: the Basics, expressly designed for women with a newly discovered passion for politics, yet in need of a foundation and skill set to launch a political career,” said Russo.

WCS is a nonpartisan, issue-neutral political campaign-training non-profit organization. WCS’s annual five-day intensive training is based at Yale Law School and will be held June 11-15. Interested women may apply online via the WCS website.
