Yale School of Nursing breaks ground on Simulation Lab expansion
The Yale School of Nursing held a ground-breaking ceremony yesterday to kick off the renovation and expansion of the Simulation Lab.
The construction team from Svigals & Partners architects joined members of the Yale nursing and West Campus communities for a ceremony and hard hat tour. Dean Ann Kurth, Associate Dean of Finance and Administration Marcia Thomas, and Vice President for West Campus Planning and Program Development Scott Strobel shared remarks about the importance and logistics of the project.
Once completed, the updated facility will include a new Primary Care Assessment lab, six new Standardized Patient rooms, a 500 square foot one-bedroom simulation apartment with a kitchen and bathroom, two new classrooms, an updated cafe, and more. It is on track to be completed in August for the 2018-2019 academic year.
