Students invited to meet alumni at networking mixer
Students and alumni mingled at last year's event.
Yale students will have an opportunity to meet alumni from Yale College and the graduate and professional schools at the second annual 1stGenYale mixer on Wednesday, Nov. 15.
The event will be held 8:30-10 p.m. at the Afro-American Cultural Center, 211 Park St. Refreshments will be served. Interested students should respond by email.
1stGenYale, an emerging AYA Shared Interest Group, supports students and alumni who are among the first to attend college or graduate school, come from low-income underserved backgrounds, and faced personal challenges. Its goal is “to help students make the most of their time while at Yale.”
The event is co-sponsored by the Yale Alumni Task Force on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. The task force aims to develop strategies for enhancing alumni initiatives for greater diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout the university community.
