See online or in person: Talks by U.N. officials Irina Bokova and Ban Ki-moon

UNESCO Director-General Irina Bokova and U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon will visit campus to give public addresses this week in conjunction the eighth Global Colloquium of University Presidents (UNGC) hosted by Yale University and President Peter Salovey.

UNESCO Director-General Irina Bokova and U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon will visit campus to give public addresses this week in conjunction the eighth Global Colloquium of University Presidents (UNGC) hosted by Yale University and President Peter Salovey.

Bokova’s address is on Monday, April 11, at 7 p.m. at Zhang Auditorium in the Yale School of Management, 165 Whitney Ave.; it is free and open to the public. Ban’s address is on Tuesday, April 12, at 4:30 p.m.; hundreds of Yale community members have received tickets through a campus-wide lottery.

Their talks are part of series of public events from April 6 to 15 being held in conjunction with the colloquium, including a series of workshops on “Culture in Crisis” by the Yale Institute for the Preservation of Cultural Heritage and the Victoria & Albert Museum as a follow-up to a joint colloquium the two institutions held in London in 2015 under the patronage of UNESCO.
