Talk asks: Can science make fantasy a reality?
Can scientists create an invisibility cloak like the one Harry Potter used to sneak around Hogwarts? Can they develop a modern-day fountain of youth? Could Jurassic Park really happen? Three Yale scholars will answer these questions and more in “When Fantasy Becomes Reality: Invisibility, Immortality, and Mammoth Monsters.”
The talk is part of the Science in the News series presented by the Yale Science Diplomats, a group of graduate students dedicated to making complex scientific topics easily understood by people of all ages.
“When Fantasy Becomes Reality will be presented twice: on Tuesday, April 21 in the New Haven Public Library, 133 Elm St.; and on Wednesday, April 29 at the James Blackstone Memorial Library, 758 Main St. Branford, Connecticut. Both one-hour talks begin at 6:30 p.m. and a free and open to the public.
