‘Inside Granny’s Head’ looks at science of the aging brain
“Inside Granny’s Head: The Science of the Aging Brain” is the subject of the next presentation by the Yale Science Diplomats, a group of graduate students dedicated to making complex scientific topics easily understood by people of all ages.
The talk will explore the changes our brains experience over time, how the brain defends itself, how we can prolong healthy brain function, and more. It is part of the series Science in the News, which is dedicated to providing people with a better understanding of the scientific underpinnings of the issues in the news every day.
“The Science of the Aging Brain” will take place twice: on Tuesday, March 17 in the New Haven Free Public Library, 133 Elm St.; and on Tuesday, March 31 at the James Blackstone Memorial Library, 758 Main St., in Branford, Connecticut. Both talks will take place 6:30–7:30 p.m. Admission is free.
