ISM Community Day will explore social and individual transformation through art

The Yale Institute for Sacred Music will host a free community day on the theme “Social and Individual Transformation Through Art” on Saturday, Feb. 7. The event will feature discussions about topics ranging from prison arts to positive energy to pastoral care. Guests will also be treated to chair massages and musical performances.

The Yale Institute for Sacred Music will host a free community day on the theme “Social and Individual Transformation Through Art” on Saturday, Feb. 7. The event will feature discussions about topics ranging from prison arts to positive energy to pastoral care. Guests will also be treated to chair massages and musical performances.

The event will begin at 10:15 a.m. in the Yale Divinity School’s Great Hall, 409 Prospect St. All are welcome.

Topics to be addressed during the day include “Community Art: On Process and Hope-Building,” “A Conversation: Struggling Well in the Face of Depression and Anxiety,” “On the Incarnation and Hospital Rooms,” “Pulsars vs. Plotlines: How Poetry Makes Us OK,” and “Prison and the Arts: Survival Strategies Behind Bars.” See the full schedule.
