See the play Don Juan, by Molière, directed by Andrej Visky. In the classic tale, Don Juan travels the world, seeking pleasure through romantic conquest. At the heart of this darkly comic 17th century play lies a modern terror — that there is no God, and no ultimate meaning beyond the appetites of the flesh. Attend a panel discussion featuring artists whose works are on view in the Yale University Art Gallery’s exhibition “Odd Volumes: Book Art from the Allan Chasanoff Collection” and Artspace’s CT “(un) Bound.” The talk, Conversation, Cover to Cover: A Discussion among Book Artists, will be followed by an artist- and curator-led walk to Artspace for a closing reception.
