The Yale community will gather on Beinecke Plaza at noon on Tuesday, Nov. 11 to commemorate Veterans Day.

The ceremony will include remarks by Yale student, faculty, and staff veterans, and a memorial wreath will be placed on the alumni war memorial by an ROTC cadet and a midshipman, who will be joined by ROTC commanding officers, other service representatives, and representatives from the Yale Student Veterans Association, Yale Veterans Association (an alumni group), and The Yale Veterans Network (a staff organization).

Members of the Yale Police Department will serve as honor guards, and Yale School of Music students will perform service anthems and other music. The event is sponsored by the Office of the Secretary and Vice President for Student Life.

Following the ceremony, the Yale Veterans Association will sponsor a screening of “The Millionaires’ Unit,” a film based on a book by Marc Wortman. The documentary will be shown as a completed film for the first time at 1:20 p.m. in the Whitney Humanities Center auditorium, 53 Wall St. The event is free and open to the public.
