TODAY: Presidential visits, Cross Campus celebration mark first Founders Day

Today (Oct. 14) Yale is celebrating the anniversary of the university’s creation 313 years ago with its first Founders Day celebration. All members of the campus community are invited to join in the festivities.

Today (Oct. 14) Yale is celebrating the anniversary of the university’s creation 313 years ago with its first Founders Day celebration. All members of the campus community are invited to join in the festivities.

The day includes a program of tours, open houses, and a Cross Campus celebration, as well as an #InspiringYale Instagram Challenge.

In addition to the public activities, President Peter Salovey paid visits to departments across campus during the day, where he talked  about the importance of fostering connectedness across campus and thanked those who work to keep the institution running smoothly every day.
