Down on the farm and up in the hills; pre-orientation programs ease the transition for freshmen

Freshman orientation is the formal introduction to Yale College. However, Yale offers four optional pre-orientation programs for freshmen who want to come a few days earlier — to meet new friends and ease the way into their new college experience.
