TODAY AT NOON: Have a question about a life in science? Ask Nobel laureate Jim Rothman

James E. Rothman has plenty to say about life in science — and plenty to show for it, including a 2013 Nobel Prize.

Now’s your chance to ask what he thinks, wherever in the world you are.

The acclaimed cell biologist is scheduled to appear Tuesday, April 1 on @YaleLive, the university’s monthly live interview program.

The program broadcasts at noon EDT on the university’s YouTube channel.

Rothman is chair of Yale’s Department of Cell Biology and winner of a 2013 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine. He is especially well known for helping to reveal aspects of cellular communication — the way molecular messages are transmitted inside and outside of cells.

On the day he won the Nobel Prize, he taught all his scheduled classes.
