Talk to offer vision of the ‘United States of Europe’

“What’s the Deal with the E.U-U.S. Free Trade Agreement?” is the topic of a talk to be presented by Viviane Reding, vice president of the European Commission, on Wednesday, Oct. 30.

The lecture will take place at noon in Rm. 211 of the Hall of Graduate Studies, 320 York St. It is free and open to the public.

Professor Seyla Benhabib will introduce Reding who, in addition to the trade agreement, will discuss her vision of the “United States of Europe.”

Originally from Luxembourg, Reding has been the European commissioner for justice, fundamental rights and citizenship since 2010. She has held a commission-portfolio since 1999.
