Science Xplained: Spidey Science
Spiderman isn’t the only person who can walk on walls and make webs stronger than steel. Scientists are making this possible in the lab. In this Science Xplained, Ainissa Ramirez, associate professor of mechanical engineering, describes the science behind making webs and walking on walls. By studying spiders, engineers can create materials that are bulletproof and can build robots that can climb the side of a building.
