Just how common is cyberbullying on Facebook? Yale’s Marc Brackett, director of the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence, and Robin Stern, psychotherapist and research scientist for the center, will discuss their new research data — and provide suggestions about how to deal with the problem — at Facebook’s annual Compassion Day event in Menlo Park, California, Jan. 23.

Facebook engineers have asked for help in designing new ways to report and assist teenagers and others who experience threats or harassment online.
