When Sterling Memorial Library closes, the collections come to life, with rhythmic echoes of the past.

Sterling Memorial Library was designed by James Gamble Rogers in the Collegiate Gothic style, opening in 1930. Known for its cathedral-like grandeur and richly decorated interior, it is the largest of the Yale University Libraries. The Yale Library is one of the world’s leading research libraries which collects, organizes, preserves, and provides access to and services for a rich and unique record of human thought and creativity.
