Piano recital to pay homage to composer Karol Szymanowski

Anna Kijanowska will perform works by Karol Szymanowski, Frédéric Chopin, Grazyna Bacewicz, and Lei Liang in a piano recital on Sunday, Oct. 7, at 4 p.m.

Titled “Homage to Karol Szymanowski,” the free concert will be held in Sudler Recital Hall, William Harkness Hall, 100 Wall St.

Kijanowski, whose recordings include “The Complete Mazurkas by Szymanowski,” has performed in North and South America, Asia, Europe, New Zealand, Africa and Australia. She is currently on the faculty of the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, and is a former faculty member of the Richmond University, University of Virginia-Charlottesville, and University of Nevada-Las Vegas.
