Answering your health questions: Yale Medical Group launches blog

The new blog features advice from members of the Yale Medical Group, the clinical practice of the Yale School of Medicine.

You can learn about medical issues and get answers to your own health-related questions via the new “Ask Yale Medicine” blog in the New Haven Register online.

The site was developed by Yale’s Office of Public Affairs and Communications to help bring the latest research and trends in clinical care to the public’s attention.

Readers are invited to ask questions that are answered by physicians of Yale Medical Group, the clinical practice of Yale School of Medicine.

The blog launched in late February, and readership has been growing steadily. Questions have included whether it’s really necessary to supplement vitamin D, whether antibiotics are always needed to cure a sinus infection, how a physical exam can spot early signs of serious disease, how to prevent winter sports injuries, and how even in winter the sun can pose a skin cancer danger.

Read the blog and submit questions at askyalemedicine.yale.edu, or via the New Haven Register, at http://www.nhregister.com
