Hacker to discuss 'Winner-Take-All-Politics' on Bill Moyers’ TV show

Jacob S. Hacker will discuss his book, “Winner-Take-All Politics: How Washington Made the Rich Richer — and Turned Its Back on the Middle Class,” on Bill Moyers’ new television show “Moyers & Company.”

The show will be broadcast on WNET Channel 13 in New York on Sunday, Jan. 15, at 6 p.m. and Monday, Jan. 16, at 10 p.m.

Hacker is the Stanley B. Resor Professor of Political Science and director of the Institution for Social and Policy Studies. He is considered an expert on the politics and character of U.S. social policy and on American political institutions. A graduate of Harvard University, Hacker earned his Ph.D. at Yale in 2000. He co-wrote “Winner-Take-All Politics” with Paul Pierson. The book explores the political genesis of rising income inequality and disparity of wealth in the United States.
