UTC Chairman and CEO Louis Chênevert Named Chair of the Yale Cancer Center Advisory Board

Yale Cancer Center is pleased to announce the appointment of Louis Chênevert as Chairman of the Center’s Advisory Board. Mr. Chênevert is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX).

“Yale Cancer Center is a critical asset in the fight against cancer, a disease that unfortunately still touches nearly every family,” said Mr. Chênevert. “I’m proud to work with the Advisory Board to ensure Yale Cancer Center and its talented staff have the resources needed to deliver life-saving care to families throughout our region.”

Mr. Chênevert has been a member of Yale Cancer Center’s Advisory Board since 2001. In addition, he served as co-chairman of the Campaign Committee for Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale-New Haven from 2007 - 2010.

“Louis has been a tremendous supporter of Yale Cancer Center over the last decade and shares our continued commitment to ensuring that residents of Connecticut have access to the newest cancer therapies and best care possible. I am honored to have his leadership as Chair of our Advisory Board,” said Thomas J. Lynch, MD, Director of Yale Cancer Center and Physician-in-Chief of Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale-New Haven.

The Yale Cancer Center Director’s Advisory Board is a group of active volunteers who are knowledgeable and informed advocates for the Center. This advocacy includes actively promoting the mission of Yale Cancer Center as well as participation in fundraising activities intended to provide financial support for Yale Cancer Center.
