Yale Researcher Joins Vice President Joseph Biden to Unveil Report on Recovery Act

Nenad Sestan, associate professor of neurobiology at Yale, was at the White House on Tuesday, August 24 to call attention to innovative work funded by the $100 billion Recovery Act program to fund innovative and transformative research.

Sestan, for instance, is using a grant from the National Institute on Mental Health to help construct an atlas of genes expressed in the human brain.

Vice-President Joseph Biden and Secretary of Energy Steven Chu held a press conference to discuss ways new technologies create jobs and fuel future economic growth in competitive industries.
