Jerusalem Post Reporter Will Discuss His Experiences in a War-Torn Region

The Yale Friends of Israel will sponsor a Pierson College master’s tea with Etgar Lefkovits, Jerusalem Post reporter and former Jerusalem correspondent for The New York Times, on Friday, April 2.

Lefkovits will speak at 4 p.m. at the master’s house, 231 Park St. The talk, which is open to the public free of charge, is co-sponsored by the Poynter Fellowship in Journalism, the Anti-Defamation League, the Yale Globalist and the Yale International Relations Association. In his talk, Lefkovits will describe his work as a reporter in a region with intense conflict, and he will offer his perspective on the conflict.

Lefkovits formerly wrote for the Japanese daily Asahi Shimbun. While serving in the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), he wrote for the IDF magazine Bamahane.
