Science exploration was the theme of the evening when area middle and high school students gathered at the Peabody Museum of Natural History on Jan. 16 for a special event sponsored by Yale Science Pathways, an outreach program that connects local youths to the University’s community of scientists.

The event included science demonstrations and a panel discussion — titled “Y Science?” — in which Yale faculty and students shared their knowledge of and enthusiasm for science. The Science Pathways students also had the chance to explore the museum’s many collections, including its Egyptian artifacts (above). Faculty, graduate students and undergraduates interested in sharing their passion for science through the Science Pathways program should contact Joanna Price, coordinator of community programs in science, 203-436-4677 or joanna.price@yale.edu.
