Guillermo Ortiz, the governor of the Central Bank of Mexico, and Tommasso Padoa-Schioppa, Italy’s former minister of economy and finance, were among the experts who came together Nov. 12 and 13 for a conference titled “Financial Globalization: Culprit, Survivor or Casualty of the Great Crisis?”

Speakers at the event, sponsored by the Yale Center for the Study of Globalization, offered their views on everything from the mindset that preceded the global economic crisis to its effect (or lack thereof) on financial reform and its impact on international politics. The conference proceedings will be available via streaming video through the center’s website: www.ycsg.yale.edu.
