Many West Campus Facilities Now Available to Departments

While discussions are now underway about how best to use West Campus in the long term (see related story), some of the complex’s facilities are now available for use by the Yale community.

Conference center

This past year over 60 events were held in the spacious conference center on the West Campus, including functions hosted by the Office of Development, the Schools of Management and Medicine, the Child Study Center, the School of Public Health, the Yale Cancer Center, the Office of the Secretary, the Association of Yale Alumni, Information Technology Services and the Stem Cell Research Center.

Groups of between 25 to 250 people can be accommodated. Reservations can be made by calling Sharon Finkenauer at (203) 393-1482.

Video conference room

The video conference room, located on the second floor of Building W-B25, is now available at no charge for Yale faculty and administrators. The state-of-the-art facility can be reserved by calling Sharon Finkenauer at (203) 393-1482.

Day care center

The Bright Horizons Child Care Center, located just outside the main entrance on Frontage Road, has over 50 children enrolled, between the ages of 6 weeks and 6 years. Currently, there is no waiting list for new enrollees. Priority for fall enrollment will go to members of the Yale community. Tours

Yale alumni and faculty can make arrangements to take a driving tour of the campus by making an appointment with Lisa Maloney at (203) 432-5681. She can also arrange for access for groups interested in touring specific buildings.
