‘Not for Men Only’ talk to focus on the issue of prostate health

The Auxiliary of Yale-New Haven Hospital (Y-NHH) will sponsor a free community health education lecture, “Not for Men Only,” a talk about prostate health including causes, symptoms and treatments for prostate and testicular cancer.

The information will be beneficial for men, as well as women who may have a friend or relative with related health issues.

The lecture will take place on Thursday, March 19, 6-8 p.m., in the hospital’s East Pavilion cafeteria, at the 20 York St. entrance. The presenter will be Dr. Richard Peschel, a radiologist at Y-NHH and professor of therapeutic radiology.

Prostate cancer is currently among the most common malignancy diagnosed in American males and the second leading cause of cancer deaths.
