Public Panel on the Financial Crisis

President Richard C. Levin and faculty colleagues will participate in a panel discussion Tuesday, Feb. 17, on the global financial crisis.

President Richard C. Levin and faculty colleagues will participate in a panel discussion Tuesday, Feb. 17, on the global financial crisis.

Organized by the Yale College Council and the Yale Student Investment Group, the free public panel, “Understanding the Financial Crisis Part II: The Stimulus, Bailouts, and Other Solutions,” will be held at 7 p.m. in Levinson Auditorium of Yale Law School on Wall Street.

Levin, the Frederick William Beinecke Professor of Economics, will moderate the panel featuring:

  • Jonathan R. Macey, Deputy Dean of Yale Law School and Sam Harris Professor of Corporate Law, Corporate Finance and Securities Law,  and Professor in the Yale School of Management
  • John Geanakoplos, James Tobin Professor of Economics
  • William Nordhaus, Sterling Professor of Economics, and
  • Robert Shiller, Arthur M. Okun Professor of Economics
