Media Advisory: Yale Brain Cancer Experts Available to Comment on Malignant Gliomas

Yale University brain cancer experts are available to comment on treatments for malignant gliomas, the type of brain cancer Sen. Edward Kennedy has been diagnosed with.

They include:

W. Mark Saltzman, the Goizueta Foundation Professor of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering at Yale, is one of the developers of Gliadel, one of the most commonly used chemotherapy agents used to treat gliomas. Giladel is a slow-release chemo-infused wafer that neurosurgeons leave in place on the surface of the brain after surgery.
