Charles Small, director of the Yale University Initiative for the Interdisciplinary Study of Antisemitism (YIISA), is available to speak with the media on the occasion of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s visit to the United Nations and Columbia University today.

According to Small, Columbia University’s invitation to Ahmadinejad in the name of freedom of speech obscures the real issue, which is that Ahmadinejad has consistently advocated the destruction of the State of Israel, in violation of the United Nations’ Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide.

YIISA is the only institute based at a North American university that is dedicated to the study of anti-Semitism. Small can be reached at 203-436-8189 and 203-606-5252 or by email to charles.small@yale.edu.

Yale has a studio that can be used for television and radio uplink.
